Marsha

Head Technician

Our Head Technician, Marsha is the longest employed team member here and a very well educated Licensed Veterinary Technician. Marsha is a married mother of two who works full-time alongside Dr. Martens to treat and diagnose all our patients here. She attended Michigan State University for her formal education (1992) after graduating Ludington High School. Marsha started her LVT career in South Haven in 1995 after three years of working as a veterinary technician in Ludington, MI.

Her family, like all our team members, does not consist of just humans but many pets, too! Her animal family includes Stormy, her Rottweiler, and 5 rescue cats (Simba, Kia, Hobbes, Milo, and Leo).

This large family keeps her very busy with active children in sports. It goes without saying that Marsha enjoys rescuing animals, and she also enjoys volunteering at her church in the youth programs there. Marsha was a member of her High School Equestrian Team and has served several years on a Search and Rescue Dog Team. She was also on the AI-Van Humane Society Board and was very active in creating fundraisers and clinics there. She is a very bright technician and has over 30 years of experience in vet medicine. Her vast knowledge aids in the high-quality care that we offer here at South Haven Animal Hospital.

Lyndsey

Lyndsey

Assistants

Lyndsey is one of our very talented vet assistants here at South Haven Animal Hospital. She joined our team in June of 2010 after waitressing for nearly 10 years. Her customer service is on point and goes hand in hand with her other terrific virtues of compassion and dedication to animal rescue. Lyndsey and her husband, Cal have helped rescue and re-home many litters of kittens. They receive help from their four-legged family members, Skeeter the Australian shepherd, along with their household cats Riley, Cowboy, Pumpkin, Belle, and May, in raising these rescue kitten litters. Lyndsey was a South Haven High School 2004 graduate and has her Associates Degree in science from Lake Michigan College, as well as her bachelor’s degree from Sienna Heights University.

Lyndsey is often assisting clients with scheduling appointments and purchasing products, but also lends a hand to the doctor to aid in animal treatments. She was a 4-H member in her early years and enjoys the outdoors very much these days. Lyndsey also enjoys traveling and hiking and observing wildlife. She has a passion for TNR and finding homes for strays.

AJ

AJ

Assistant

AJ joined our team in October 2022 as a veterinary assistant and has fit right in from the start. She is a graduate of the Watervliet Way Program and has plans to start the Veterinary Technician program though Penn Foster. You will see her smiling face all throughout the clinic, from helping clients on the phone and in person, to assisting the doctor and technician to ensure excellent patient care!

When not working, AJ enjoys baking, watching movies, playing MTG, and spending time with her partner Tyler and their 2 dogs, Zero, and Taz.

Cheyenne

Cheyenne

Assistant

Cheyenne joined our team in January 2023 as a veterinary assistant. She is a 2016 graduate from Bloomingdale with a huge passion for animals. She can be found all throughout the clinic checking in on pets, assisting the doctor and technician, helping clients, and working with the rest of the team in keeping our clinic running top notch for our clients. She has been doing wonderfully from the start and we can’t wait for you to meet her.

When not working, Cheyenne loves spending time with her partner Caleb and their son Zachariah. Together they are busy with all their fur babies, which includes 7 dogs, 6 goats, 3 pot belly pigs, a pony, a mule, many chickens and turkeys, two barn cats, Pretzel and Murphy, and to finish it all off, 2 adorable guinea pigs! Cheyenne keeps busy that’s for sure and in her spare time she also enjoys photography and fishing with her family.
